BADU 21 AK

BADU 21 AK-SSV seawater swimming-pool circulation pumps

The BADU 21 AK-SSV pumps were designed for bathtubs, whirlpool baths, counter-current swimming systems and cleaning devices. All models in this series are non-self-priming circulation pumps. This means that air cannot be conveyed. In practice these pumps are generally to be installed below the water level so that the pool water can flow in by itself. The "AK" version for seawater, marine water and brine of the BADU pump corresponds to the standard variant, but the sealing chamber is not mounted directly on the A-side motor bearing thanks to an intermediate lantern; instead it is separated from the motor by an intermediate space and a labyrinth plate. Any escaping medium and precipitating minerals or salts therefore do not come into contact with the motor or the bearing. This allows a considerably longer service life compared with standard pumps for these applications.

Applications:
Thermal waters, thermal brine, seawater aquaria with artificially treated seawater, curing/salting installations, and various problem fluids subject to verification of constituents and concentration.
When ordering, the medium must in principle always be specified exactly so that the pump’s chemical resistance can be checked.

Use of the pumps for swimming pools and their protected zones is only permissible if these have been installed in accordance with DIN/VDE 0100 Part 702. Please consult your qualified electrician!
The electrical connection should in principle be carried out by a qualified electrician.
